Henry Sweet Society -- membership for 2019
To everyone who is, has been, or would like to be a member of the Henry Sweet Society: A Happy New Year to you all!
Please take a moment to review the status of your membership.
If you joined the Society at the 2018 colloquium in Maynooth, or have recently paid a subscription to renew your existing membership in response to a reminder from Taylor & Francis, thank you. Your membership will be up-to-date, and you should receive the next
reminder to re-subscribe at the end of the year. If you received the recent reminder (it was mailed out in late November) and have yet to respond, please do so now.
If you have previously been a member but did NOT receive a reminder to resubscribe for 2019, it means that you have dropped off the mailing list which is maintained by Taylor & Francis, probably because your membership has lapsed for more than 12 months (they
do not send further reminders after that). It is surprisingly easy for this to happen unintentionally, and the Society will not be aware of it. Remember that the Society has never had any category of permanent or Life membership. You are only a member if you
have paid your subscription for the current year.
To re-activate your membership (or to join afresh), please email the publisher at
[log in to unmask] or telephone +44(0)20 7017 5543. If you have yet to join, make 2019 the year in which you become a member. See the Society's

Finally, a small number of payments (some reflecting subscription rates from long ago) continue to be received each year. They result from old direct debits which members have forgotten to cancel. Often they are impossible to trace and refund. If you are a
longstanding member, please check that you don't have such an arrangement left in place. All payments should now be made via Taylor & Francis.
