Dear Colleagues,
First of all, we wish you a wonderful and successful 2019, with papers published, grants granted, theses finished and so on :-)
As you are certainly aware of, the EGU abstract deadline is quickly approaching (10 January 2019, 13:00 CET).
Have you found a suitable session to present your innovative microstructural work? Are you developing new tools for microstructural analysis? Or perhaps you came up with some new crazy ideas on how interpret microstructures and textures? If your answer is YES, but you want to have more time to discuss with the audience and/or more space than a poster, then we have a solution to you!!!

Our PICO session TS3.1 at EGU 2019 in Vienna  is the perfect format for presenting your research

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
New views of "old" materials - modern approaches in microstructural and textural analysis and interpretation
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For those not familiar with the format, an EGU PICO session consists of 2-minutes “madness” talks followed by an hour of interactive screen discussion with the audience.
It is simply the perfect format of presenting your research if you are interested in having good feedback and intense discussions about your results!!!

As an “incentive” for you to submit your abstract to our session, we will have an invited speaker from the submitted abstracts who gets a 12-minutes talk, plus the discussion

Entertainers:  Luiz Morales (ETH Zürich), Sina Marti (University of Edinburgh) & Rüdiger Kilian (University of Basel)
