A bit of a light-hearted one to start off the new year...

At the airport travelling home for Christmas and on my way to the departure lounge I spotted a man in short sleeves and his wife pushing a pram with their 9 month old son inside.

I knew their son's age because tattooed along the length of the father's arm was the name and DOB of the young chap.

Possibly a data breach?! A 9 month old is of course not capable of providing consent and I make no attempt to pass judgment on the parents. But flippant as my story is, it raises an interesting point and throws up all kinds of issues, particularly with regards to children, consent issues and possibly even biometrics.

As it was Christmas I decided not to contact the ICO!

Happy New Year to all!
