Reminder Call for papers
TRANSFORMING CARE CONFERENCE 2019
JUNE 24-26TH 2019, COPENHAGEN

Dear colleague,

This is a reminder of the Call for papers for the Transforming Care Conference 2019. Call for Papers is open until Jan 31st, 2019.

We invite you to submit your abstract to one or more of our 25 Thematic Panels, find more information here, http://www.transforming-care.net/

The Transforming Care Conference series focusses on early child education and care, care for adults with disabilities and long-term care for older people. Four main dimensions of transforming care are addressed in the conference through parallel Thematic Panels and Symposia sessions:

- Changes in the institutional setting of care systems and in care policy

- The impact and dilemmas of social and policy innovation in care services and cash

- Changes in intergenerational care arrangements and informal care

- Transformations affecting care workers and their working conditions

The 2019 conference will take place in Copenhagen June 24-26th and will have the overall theme of: Changing priorities: The making of care policy and practices. In addition to the Thematic Panels, which are open for all, we have seven Symposia where identified speakers will present state-of-the-art of a particular and topical theme. Our three esteemed keynote speakers will be addressing the conference theme of changing priorities from each their research perspective:

- Mary Daly, Professor of Sociology and Social Policy, Oxford University, England: Changing Care Provision in Europe: Conceptual and Other Challenges

- Bent Greve, Professor in Welfare State Analysis, Roskilde University, Denmark: Social investment: Good for all in need of care?

- Martin Knapp, Professor of Social Policy, London School of Economics, England: Economics and priority-setting

In collaboration with the International Journal of Care and Caring, we are offering a Best Paper Award, based on the paper contributions to the conference. The winner of the 2017 award will be announced at the 2019 conference, at a drinks session hosted by Policy Press. There will also be a Special 'Transforming Care' Issue of the International Journal of Care & Caring, with an invitation to session chairs and paper presenters to propose themselves as its Guest Editor(s). The call is open from November 1st to end of July 2019. Find out more about the journal here<https://policy.bristoluniversitypress.co.uk/journals/international-journal-of-care-and-caring>.
