The University of Southampton is seeking an Operational Research Analyst, with expertise in discrete/combinatorial optimization, to work as a researcher on a 30-month project.  The work will be undertaken in partnership with Lucketts Travel Ltd, who operate a fleet of a private-hire coaches.  The project will involve developing and testing algorithms that integrate coach scheduling and driver rostering.
The successful candidate should ideally have a PhD in a topic closely related to Operational Research or Optimization, although outstanding performance on a directly relevant Masters degree may also be acceptable.
