Professor of Maternal and Child Health - based on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia... this is an exciting position.


Midwifery@Griffith are a strong, values-driven, highly productive academic team.... and Gold Coast University Hospital has a strategic plan aligned to scaling up caseload midwifery (continuity of midwifery care/ known midwife).... and they are well on the way with 25% of women provided with a known midwife next year.


The Professor of Maternal and Child Health is a joint initiative between Griffith University and the Gold Coast Hospital & Health Service. The Professor of Maternal and Child Health will provide leadership in the critical examination of current trends and evidence-based practice in maternal, newborn and children's care, and related implications for research, education and practice. A key focus for this role will translating research into practice and practice development.

This is a fixed term (5 years), full time position based on the Gold Coast.
