Dear LIS-LINKers,

A vacancy has become available for an editor for the Teaching and Learning in Action regular feature of the Health Information and Libraries Journal.

The Health Information and Libraries Journal produces four issues per year and as the regular feature editor, you would be expected to take responsibility for the Teaching and Learning in Action regular feature of the journal.  This is a short feature of around 2500 words (including references).  The regular feature has a broad scope covering any learning and teaching related topic, provided it is contextualised within the health library and information setting.  We regularly have guest writers contributing to the feature and of course the editor themselves sometimes writes a contribution too.  The feature is a great tool for disseminating news about innovative work or thinking that is relevant to those working in the health information and library fields.

This opportunity would suit anyone who has an interest in the teaching and learning side of health librarianship and is looking for a career development role.  You would be expected to attend approximately four small team meetings per year, which are normally held at the CILIP Headquarters in London (travel expenses are covered).  You will also receive a small honorarium of £200 from Wiley Publishers each year for your work with the journal.

I have been the regular feature editor for the last eight years and would be happy to answer any questions people might have about this role.  Expressions of interest should be directed to myself or the journal editor Maria Grant ([log in to unmask]).

With best wishes,

Hannah
