The Royal Cornwall Museum is planning to hold an Algorithmic Art Expo approx Sept-Dec 2019.

This is a call for ideas - for exhibits, talks, tutorials and performances.

Key aims of the expo are:
  • representing the diverse communities doing algorithmic art - with a focus on the south west of England
  • showcasing the future of this rapidly emerging art form
  • building a bridge from traditional art and artists to this relatively new art form and its methods
  • providing a educational experience to impart the beauty of mathematics and science
  • explore the societal challenges that an increasingly digital age operated by algorithms presents

We'd love you to take part!

Please use this very short form to submit your idea, and we'll follow up to discuss further if appropriate.

Submissions are welcome from all communities and groups - artists new to algorithmic art, young children learning to code creatively, researchers at the cutting edge of visual effects, data journalists exploring engaging data driven stories, technologists exploring applications of artificial intelligence, and anyone exploring a new passion.

You don't have to be an established artist to take part.

We are open to a wide variety of formats - for example, animated explorations of mathematical beauty, computer generated music, artificial life, robots using traditional media, immersive virtual reality experiences, physical sculptures, short films, and interactive art created by artificial intelligence.
