These enable medical graduates to pursue a career in academic medicine in the field of obstetrics, gynaecology or women’s health. Fellowships are worth up to £250,000 each for up
to three years.

Maternity and the newborn forum – Wendy Savage travel bursary
Royal Society of Medicine
This enables maternity health professionals, students and trainees to attend a conference to present a paper based on their research in the field of maternity care or care of the
newborn. The prize is worth up to £750.

Maternity and newborn forum – Basil Lee bursary for innovation in communication
Royal Society of Medicine
This enables students, trainees and professionals of maternal health to develop their media skills related to the subject of maternity or care of the newborn. The bursary includes
a prize of £500 and one year’s membership to the society.
