We have a new visit to the London Transport Museum Depot coming up as well as interesting events discussing methods to help you maintain and promote equality in your customer services, applying to library school and disaster management.

Equality Act 2010 and its impact on Libraries [TG2/Equalities]

The Equality Act 2010 applies to everyone who provides a service to the public. Everyone has the right to be treated with dignity and respect. This event looks at some of the implications of the act  for the library & information sector including talks on disability and gender.

Disaster preparedness, prevention and planning are all critical components of effective disaster responsiveness. This event provide an overview of disaster management using case studies considering components such as building management, health and safety which can often be overlooked in emergency plans.
