Digital collections are an important part of the resources provided by libraries and cultural heritage institutions, however, they can often prove difficult to find for users, meaning that they are not being utilised to their full potential. Research has shown 20% of publicly funded digitised collections are effectively 'lost on the web (https://digitisation.jiscinvolve.org/wp/2014/06/03/spotlight-on-the-digital-final-recommendations-and-outputs/)

We have developed a pair of training workshops specifically designed to address this issue and to support you in making the most of your digital collections.

7 November 2018 - Workshop one: Maximising the use of digital collections in learning and research

13 November 2018 - Workshop two: Measuring usage and impact with digital collections

Venue:
Mercure Bristol Holland House Hotel
Redcliffe Hill
Bristol

The workshops will help you maximize the reach of those collections online, demonstrate the impact of their usage, and help you build for future sustainability. The programme has been designed for anyone who manages, supports and/or promotes digital collections online for learning and research in higher education and the GLAM community.

“[The presenter] exhibited a clarity of thought that made what can be a complex and frustrating topic into a digestible and comprehensible one”
