Dear FSL experts,

I am working on a project and I am interested in using some brain structures (eg. pons) from the Talairach Atlas included with FSL.
The problem is, the Talairach brain structures don't seem to be correctly registered into MNI152 space.

On FSL's page (https://fsl.fmrib.ox.ac.uk/fsl/fslwiki/Atlases) one reads under "Talairach Atlas":
"This is a digitised version of the original (coarsely sliced) Talairach atlas (Lancaster 2000) after the application of a correcting affine transform (Lancaster 2007) to register it into MNI152 space."

Yet when I open some of the brain structures such as the Right Cerebellum Posterior Lobe.Tuber.Grey.Matter or the Left Brainstem.Pons (see attached images), the brain structures are clearly misaligned to the MNI152_T1_brain_2mm.nii.gz image included with FSL.

Is there something I am not understanding correctly about this, or are the Talairach Atlas structures not registered as they should be? Would you recommend a way to fixing this?

Best,
Nasia Metoki
