Hi Everyone
I like the idea of this however one question that I have is how do you get around supporting evidence for students with SpLD's? This is the most common "lack of medical evidence" issue that I experience and SFE will want a full diagnostic report for approving DSA in the case of students with Dyslexia, Dyspraxia etc.
SpLD diagnosis wont often be on medial records and can only be obtained through a 2-3 hour assessment with an Educational Psychologist/approved diagnostician so I don't know how this gets around that area.
Any further information on this would be great.
Kind Regards
Martyn

Had a response from my contact at SFE.

I'm not aware of them but do know there are more and more private (often

online) ways to 'see a doctor'.

If these people are fully qualified and they are providing the required evidence then we may accept this. Obviously I've not seen any examples so cannot confirm with any certainty.

Not sure how they are a “fraction of the GP fee” when they are charging £28.00 for 10 minutes (that’s £168.00 per hour!) just to help a student fill in a DSA medical evidence form.

Best wishes

Adrian
