Hi Nick,

Can you reframe the purpose of the paper to discover what kind of empirical
research is needed to gain more insight into the system?
Using the simulations you might discover that (theoretically) some
variables make no difference, whereas others have a large influence.

A second thought is that you might not need spatial empirical data per se
if you have enough other empirical data to validate your model on (e.g., is
there a follow-up from that survey?)
