Subject: Request for help: librarians fighting misinformation/fake news

The Open University (OU) is a partner in the EU-funded project, Co-Inform (http://coinform.eu/co-inform-project-kicks-off/<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=http-3A__coinform.eu_co-2Dinform-2Dproject-2Dkicks-2Doff_&d=DwMFAg&c=OCIEmEwdEq_aNlsP4fF3gFqSN-E3mlr2t9JcDdfOZag&r=a4h3VyrxSr2Rx0G_oP1a3nS8z09Mc8Ey1pgtFSmKrMA&m=tQ6tmMy2PgpgSYY9WLCYeyFQu_NYfljew15XLXSoHds&s=6ftAYdSUOf1hubza5rooLVvBc-oXIc4FtFsakqYFtWE&e=>). The aim of the project is to develop tools to engage citizens, journalists, and policymakers in fighting misinformation on social media.

In early October the OU is running a workshop with the aim of bringing together people from around the OU who are working in this area. Iím presenting for 15 minutes on what librarians and information professionals worldwide are doing to combat misinformation/fake news. Iím gathering examples to present and Iíd really appreciate your input. Iím planning to mention:
