Subject: The Future of Humanities event

Hello all,

I hope this email finds you well and that you have had a nice summer term.

Before the start of term kicks in, I thought I would draw your attention to History UK's plenary and AGM event on November 3rd at the IHR. This year we will be exploring the theme of 'The Future of the Humanities'. Speakers include Professor Stefan Collini (Cambridge), Dr. Karen Salt (Nottingham), Dr. James Baker (Sussex), Dr. Sara Barker (Leeds) and Sihong Lin (Manchester). A blurb for the event can be found on the attached poster.
Jamie Wood and I, as co-convenors to History UK, would like to invite you to partake in this event as arts and humanities organisations. We would love it if you join in the conversation of this topic. Please do extend this invitation to people in your organisations, departments, including staff, ECRs and postgraduate students.

Tickets can be booked through our Eventbrite link<https://www.eventbrite.com/e/the-future-of-the-humanities-history-uks-annual-general-meeting-tickets-49041222617?aff=ebdssbdestsearch<https://hes32-ctp.trendmicro.com:443/wis/clicktime/v1/query?url=https%3a%2f%2fwww.eventbrite.com%2fe%2fthe%2dfuture%2dof%2dthe%2dhumanities%2dhistory%2duks%2dannual%2dgeneral%2dmeeting%2dtickets%2d49041222617%3faff%3debdssbdestsearch&umid=56391e7d-8647-4978-af15-463da53f30de&auth=768f192bba830b801fed4f40fb360f4d1374fa7c-12c57fabee7de41c5a03c2bc746fa029924f20ad>>. They are £15 for ECR and PhD students, £40 for non-subscribing members of History UK. If you department subscribes to us then you are entitled to one free ticket.

Very best, Lucie and James, co-convenors of History UK.
