The School of Social Sciences is looking to appoint a new academic member of staff, at lecturer level. The post holder will contribute to the research profile of the School through academic scholarship and theoretically informed empirical research leading to published work of the highest quality; they will also deliver high quality and research-led teaching at both the undergraduate and postgraduate level.

We are a large, inter-disciplinary school and persuasive applications are welcome from across the social sciences. We would be particularly pleased to receive applications aligned to sociology and social policy, with strength and specialism in the following:

  *   Social theory (classical and/or contemporary)
  *   Race and ethnicity
  *   Inequality, poverty and deprivation in global perspective

Salary: £41,212 - £47,722 per annum (Grade 7)
