Teaching Fellow in Sociology,UCD School of Sociology

The School of Sociology at University College Dublin seeks to appoint a temporary teaching fellow in Sociology. The duration of the appointments is 12 months, ideally beginning 3 September 2018. 

The appointee will be expected to teach the following modules: 
  • ‘Sociological Analysis and Research Design’ (first year undergraduate level), 
  • ‘Quantitative Sociology’ (second year undergraduate level), 
  • ‘Quantitative Data Analytics & Applications’ (Masters level).
The Teaching Fellow ideally will also contribute to:
  • the supervision of Masters dissertations.
New Undergraduate Degree Programmes at UCD Sociology
New Postgraduate Degree Programmes at UCD Sociology
The successful candidates will ideally be a scholar who has completed (or is near to completing) a PhD in Sociology or a cognate discipline and who is actively seeking to publish in peer-reviewed academic outlets. S/he will have experience of teaching at undergraduate level. 

The teaching fellow is expected to participate actively in the academic life of the School and make a commensurate contribution to School administration

Fixed Salary: €31,588 per annum (non-scale)
