    Dear all,

ERC Networking 2018 at ACM SIGCOMM 2018 is shaping up as a highly
interesting event. Its technical program consists exclusively of invited
talks by 11 distinguished ERC grant holders in the area of computer
networking. Please consider attending the symposium. The early registration
deadline for ERC Networking 2018 and SIGCOMM 2018 in general is on 14 July.
The call for ERC Networking participation is enclosed below.

    Thank you,

ACM SIGCOMM 2018 Symposium on European Research in Computer Networking (ERC
Networking 2018)
Budapest, Hungary
24 August 2018

ERC Networking 2018 brings together researchers and educators for the
purpose of presenting and discussing research results and ideas pertaining
to projects funded by the European Research Council (ERC). The symposium
pursues the following two goals: (i) promoting excellent European research
within, or closely related to, the area of computer networking and (ii)
inspiring talent in computer networking from all over the world and
encouraging applications for ERC grants.

Consisting exclusively of invited talks by ERC grant holders, the
full-day technical program of ERC Networking 2018 is enclosed below and also
available at
https://conferences.sigcomm.org/sigcomm/2018/erc_networking_symposium.html .
After Andrzej Jajszczyk (ERC Scientific Council and AGH, Poland) provides a
brief overview of the ERC and its funding opportunities, the program
features 11 invited talks on topics in network virtualization, security,
programming, routing, and wireless technologies. The symposium concludes
with a panel where ERC grant holders share personal experiences with
conceiving, obtaining, and executing an ERC grant.

Complementing its technical excellence, ERC Networking 2018 benefits
from its superb location in the heart of Budapest with stunning views from
the Pest embankment to Buda hills across the Danube. Famous for its
Hungarian cuisine and wines, Budapest is a naturally beautiful, culturally
sophisticated, and technologically advanced European city.

14 July is the early registration deadline for the ERC Networking
symposium and ACM SIGCOMM 2018 overall. Attendance of the symposium is by
open registration and subject to the same registration fees and rules as a
regular SIGCOMM 2018 workshop. The attendees who register for another
SIGCOMM 2018 workshop on August 24 may freely attend the ERC Networking
symposium. Similarly, the registrants of ERC Networking 2018 may freely
attend the other workshops on 24 August. The attendees of the SIGCOMM 2018
main conference may register for the ERC Networking symposium at a
discounted fee of $100. To benefit from early registration rates, remember
to register by 14 July at
http://conferences.sigcomm.org/sigcomm/2018/registration.html .
