MESSAGE FOLLOWS:

Dear Colleagues,

Sarah Younie and I are writing to you to invite expressions of interest in preparing a new book ‘A practical guide to mentoring beginning music teachers’.
The book is designed as a practical workbook for mentors to use to develop themselves. Furthermore, it aims to provide guidance and practical ideas for mentors to use to support the development of beginning music teachers. It will draw as far as possible explicitly on the research/evidence, to provide evidence based practice in mentoring beginning music teachers.
To bring together the range of knowledge needed you may wish to apply with university colleagues - including school-based teachers who are mentors, which can mean that these colleagues get a chance to publish emerging ideas and current practice in relation to mentoring.

In this email, we are inviting chapter contributions. We also welcome the suggestion of additional chapters. If you would like to be involved, then please register your expression of interest, by providing a working title for your chapter and 100 word outline, by the 15 September 2018.
Please indicate clearly in your reply, which chapter you wish to register an expression of interest in; then chapter title and indicative content.
A list of chapters can be found here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1iMhMnvYz1fLxrxRX344wrRPGUDK3OugrYyk1Alrqlrw/edit?usp=sharing
We look forward to hearing from you.
Best wishes,
Sarah Younie and Motje Wolf
