Immediate opening: Research Fellow/ PhD positions in Computational and Applied Materials Science (CAMS) Group within the Attosecond and Strong Field Science Division at ELI-ALPS, Hungary

Forefront areas of research, in close collaboration with experimentalists:

(i) Ultrafast electronic processes, charge/spin excitations, dynamics at surface, nanostructures.

(ii) Molecules, low-dimensional materials under intense laser field: control of laser-matter interaction.

(iii) Nonlinear response, excited states dynamics and high harmonic generations from molecules and nanostructures.

The position is immediately available. Application deadline: 5th August, 2018. The successful candidate will use computational methodologies and time-dependent density functional theory, to work on above mentioned areas.

The potential candidate’s profile:

Background in computations, possibly using density functional and time dependent density functional theory, and/or coding through Fortran/ Python/ C++/Mathematica/ Matlab. A solid academic foundation in quantum mechanics, solid state physics, optics and photonics related field expected.

Eligible applicants:

1. For Research Fellows:

2. For Early Stage Researchers:

During the employment the early stage researchers will have the opportunity to enroll to a PhD program and work for a PhD degree.

The application must contain (i) a detailed CV, (ii) publication list with scientometric data (h-index, cumulative impact factor), (iii) list of references.

Schedule: Application deadline: 5th August, 2018.
