I presume they mean lead-lined coffins used for burial. EA R&D Project Record P2/024/1 “Pollution Potential of Cemeteries” refers to lead-lined coffins at Sections 5.3.2 and 5.7.1 and also mentions them under
‘plague pits’ at 5.11. I have a copy to hand, Alex, in case it is not easily found online. Cheers, Don.

Subject: Leaded Graves
Dear All
For a change of subject, I have come across a term in a report which I have never seen before. It is in relation to a petroleum storage depot and the report indicated that they had encountered ‘leaded graves’. Does anyone know what these
are or where I could find any information about them.
