Dear Emma

I would usually use the Collections Trust Object Entry form found here https://collectionstrust.org.uk/resource/object-entry-forms/ Designed for museums and meeting Spectrum standards but still of value to archive services.

Subject: Initial (proposed) acquistion documentation

Does anyone have any documentation they use to cover a situtation where they initially take in a collection to appraise, before deciding whether to formally acquire some/all of it? I'm especially thinking about the insurance side, but anything which covers the various responsibilities of the parties (i.e. including the owners of the material) would be helpful.

If you use your loan documentation in such instances, that would also be useful for me to see.

Many thanks
Emma
