Comics Forum 2018. Progress: A Decade of Comics Scholarship. Call for Papers.

The call for papers for Comics Forum 2018 has been released. This year is the tenth anniversary of the annual conference series. To celebrate this milestone, the theme of this year's conference is Progress: A Decade of Comics Scholarship. We invite submissions looking back at the various subjects and themes Comics Forum has focused on over the past decade, in consideration of how they have changed and developed. 

The dates for this year's conference are the 20th to 21st of September. It will take place at the Leeds Central Library, Leeds, UK. We will also host a half-day workshop 'Seriously Into Comics' on 19th September. Aimed primarily at PhD students and Early-Career Researchers this will be an opportunity for younger scholars to gain access to more experienced academics at different stages of their careers, to get advice on funding, teaching and publishing, and to have an opportunity to network prior to the conference itself.
