Dear colleagues,

Please could you distribute the message below to any students (3rd years, Masters or final year PhD students) who may be interested in applying:

The Leeds Institute for Data Analytics is now inviting applications for the third cohort of its successful Data Science Internship Programme. Internships are available for a fixed term period of 12 months, commencing October 2018, to help drive research activity across each of LIDA's constituent areas: medical bioinformatics, consumer data research and multidisciplinary data analytics.

We are looking for graduates from a wide range of backgrounds who have a keen interest in using data and statistical and predictive techniques to answer real life questions. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to own delivery of two, 6-month projects and get hands-on technical experience using real data. You will also be able to build your capacity in advanced analytics through the benefit of supervisor mentorship as well as training opportunities in programming, visualisation and statistical analysis.

Examples of recently completed projects can be viewed here<https://lida.leeds.ac.uk/study-training/data-science-internship-scheme/>.

To apply for an internship, please visit the University of Leeds jobs site here<https://jobs.leeds.ac.uk/vacancy.aspx?ref=MHLDA1018> (job number MHLDA1018).

Please contact Kylie Norman, Programme Administrator: [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> or Amy O'Neill, Programme Manager: [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> for further information.

Application deadline: 23rd July 2018

Kylie
