Several postdoc openings are expected in the research group of Prof. H. Guo at University of New Mexico in the near future. Funded by NSF, DOE, and DOD, the research projects include 1. Development of global potential energy surfaces of small molecular systems, quantum mechanical calculations of molecular spectroscopy, dynamics of photodissociation, and quantum reactive scattering. 2. Dynamics of gas-surface scattering and reactions, influence of surface phonons and electron-hole pairs. 3. Mechanisms and dynamics of heterogeneous catalysis. The publication list and other information about the group can be found at http://www.unm.edu/~hguo. A candidate should have a PhD degree in theoretical physics or theoretical chemistry. Experience in computational physics/chemistry is preferred. The initial appointment is for one year, but renewable upon mutual agreement. Yearly salary starting from $48,000 to $60,000 depending on experience. Please send CV with publication list and three recommendation letters to Prof. H. Guo, Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology, University of New Mexico, Albuquerque, NM 87111, USA. (Email: [log in to unmask]).
