medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture Hello all One of the witnesses in the Cantilupe canonization process which I'm editing stated that "se legisse quod beatus Augustinus, ad comendationem uite sanctorum, notabat quod in eis concurrebant puritas carnis, penitentia de peccatis, humilitas mentis, feruor caritatis, exercitatio bonorum operum, patientia in aduersis, omnem delectationem carnis subicere et mentem ad Christum dirigere ..." pointing out that Cantilupe had possessed all these qualities. Does anyone know where Augustine said this, or something very like it? Or where the witness, a Dominican, might have read it? thank you!
