Knight Frank GIS/Mapping Specialist > Knight Frank is the leading independent property consultancy in the UK offering agency and professional advice across Commercial, Residential and Rural sectors. Established in 1897, Knight Frank now comprises a global network of over 400 offices. The Residential Consultancy Division are looking to recruit a GIS/Mapping specialist to work within the Mapping team, based in Hungerford, Berkshire. > > Role: > > The team provide a wide range of mapping and surveying services to their clients, including bespoke mapping in support of sales; acquisitions; land registration; valuations; planning; CPO claims; estate, farm and portfolio management, as well as strategic development. They undertake site surveys and boundary audits using their own RTK GPS equipment; provide a consultancy service in regard to guidance on the acquisition and use of mapping software (and data), including installation, training and on-going support. The team also use a drone for high resolution imagery, 4k video and 3D mapping. > > Your responsibilities will include sourcing, managing, interpreting and analysing data to prepare plans, as well as undertaking site surveys and assisting on projects as required. You will be liaising directly with clients from across the whole business as well as externally, to provide guidance on their bespoke mapping requirements. External clients could include private estates and farms, country house owners, institutions, law firms, banks and local authorities. > > Qualifications and Experience: > > The ideal candidate will be degree educated, with 1-2 years’ experience in a comparable role. You will be highly computer literate, with a solid understanding of MS Office, Ordnance Survey datasets and experience in using at least one GIS package, ie Cadcorp, ESRI, MapInfo, etc. A high level of accuracy and attention to detail is required, as is the ability to work unsupervised and prioritise tasks as necessary. You will be a confident communicator able to build rapport with internal and external clients and be a proven self-starter who is flexible and adaptable. A full UK driving licence and own transport are essential for travel to client sites.
