I don't think I am getting emails from the RHUL ticket in the SRM put errors. I checked as suggested Matt, and there is an entry by Elena (thanks!) which I was not notified about.
Could easily be caused by Microsoft's spam filtering though.

I ticketed Lancaster to see if this was a more general problem, but we
got updates for that test ticket. Maybe this one ticket is just broken
somehow? As it's an easy workaround for this one ticket I'm not too
worried, but I with my ticket-wrangler hat on I would advise sites to
double check they haven't missed any updates on any recent tickets by
taking a peek directly at GGUS.
