Dear all
Some might like to know that two books recently published within the space syntax community have just been re-issued in more affordable paperback editions.

The Social Fabric of Cities (Vinicius Netto) brings together urban analysis and the social sciences. The book is organised around three vital dimensions in the shaping of cities (i) as systems of encounter and segregated networks; (ii) as systems of communication; (iii) as systems of material interaction.

Spatial Cultures: towards a new social morphology of cities past and present  (edited by Sam Griffiths and Alexander von Lünen) explores the relationship between urban space and urban life from a range of disciplinary perspectives. Its 20 contributors present original case studies of historical and contemporary cities, and explore a range of theoretical and methodological issues in relation to themes including processional activity, mobilities, play and the digital city.

Best wishes,
Sam Griffiths and Vini Netto
