Nice to hear from you after so long! I love your diagnoses of common pathologies in health/medical communication! I am currently undergoing some pretty extreme medical treatment and concur with your descriptions – health communication is a ripe area for design research and intervention. Not just visual communication, but systemic communication. I know I am not saying anything new here, but it’s gobsmacking (to use the academic term), to see what gets missed/repeated/assumed regularly in communication between various specialists, registrars, administrators, private health funds, government health departments, and the list goes on.

Let’s start (continue) a revolution!
