IFLA Evidence for Global and Disaster Health [E4GDH] satellite meeting, Kuala Lumpur, Thursday 23 August 2018

We are delighted to announce that programme details for our E4GDH satellite meeting are now available. Please visit the website for details. [https://sites.google.com/view/ifla2018e4gdh]

Themes will include initiatives to build and share the evidence base for global health and disaster risk reduction, from published articles and open data to unpublished grey literature. There will be presentations from librarians and other professionals working in the field, sharing perspectives and experiences from Australia, Philippines, South Africa, USA and the UK. Discussions and recommendations about the future role of librarians in disaster and global health will be captured and shared. In the afternoon parallel sessions, participants can join a story-telling/sharing session with opening stories from Rwanda and UK or take part in a training session on finding the evidence for disaster health.

The early evening informal will include a short talk on the value and impact of librarians in health library and information services, followed by plenty of time for questions and networking with refreshments provided.

We hope you can join us. The meeting will take place at the 4-star Impiana Hotel, centrally located adjoining the KL Convention Centre. Refreshments and buffet lunch are included in the registration fee.

Early bird rate ends 31st May 2018.
