Join the Government Information Group as they visit the Royal Observatory Library in Edinburgh on Wednesday 13th June, 2-4pm.

The Main Library holds twentieth and twenty-first century material covering all fields of astronomy. Supporting subjects are represented by select works on physics, mathematics, electronics and computing.

The Crawford Library contains around 15,000 items made up of books, pamphlets and manuscripts dating from the thirteenth century to the end of the nineteenth century, including a replica death mask of Sir Isaac Newton, and virtually the entire library of Charles Babbage.

The Royal Observatory is part of the UK Astronomy Technology Centre which is a major establishment of the Science and Technology Facilities Council.
