Dear all

Registration for our Jisc Sponsored DPC ‘Future-proofing Digital Preservation for Research Data' Briefing Day in Bristol closes this Thursday, 24th May!

The open event, taking place in Bristol on 31st May, is designed to look at a five-year horizon for research data preservation. It will explore how emerging themes in digital preservation and in research data generation challenge or endorse assumptions and values that underpin the Research Data Shared Service. In doing so it will make recommendations that, if adopted, would go some way to 'future-proofing' digital preservation for research data.

We’ll be kicking off the day with a look at the future for Research Data Management from Chris Keene of Jisc. In his role as Head of Library and Scholarly Futures, and at the forefront of digital innovation in learning, teaching and research, Chris leads Jisc’s work on the future role and capabilities of digital scholarly communication, digital libraries, and digital scholarship for research and learning. He will identify and talk us through some of the emerging trends, challenges and innovations for the Research Data Management community.

Attendance at this event is free and open to anyone but registration is essential.
