Dear all,

We have an exciting opportunity for a two-year post-doctoral fellowship <https://careers.newschool.edu/postings/15765> at The New School’s Zolberg Institute on Migration and Mobility focused on climate and migration.

As part of the fellowship position, the Fellow will participate in the partnership between the German Historical Institute (GHI) and the Zolberg Institute on Migration and Mobility. The Fellow will have the opportunity to connect their research on climate change and contemporary debate on forced migration with the work of a historically-minded scholar focused on forced migration in the 20th century.
In addition, the Fellow will be expected to participate in Institute events and to assist in the development of the Institute’s research initiative on climate change and migration, including the instruction of relevant courses (one in the 2018-19 academic year and two in the 2019-20 academic year). The Fellow will also participate in the planning of conferences, public events, and seminars on the theme of climate change and migration.

This is an ideal opportunity for recent Ph.D. graduates with a focus on climate change and migration to join a leading teaching, research and policy institute on migration and mobility studies in New York City.

To apply for this position, please visit The New School careers website: https://careers.newschool.edu/. Candidates submit the following:
• An academic CV with names and email addresses of two referees who can speak to your work
• A two-page statement of interest that covers previous and ongoing research initiatives, potential course descriptions, and your fit with and commitment to the Zolberg Institute’s mission, goals and academic and intellectual life
• Example of written work

The application deadline is May 23, 2018.
