AAIA’18 Data Mining Competition at the Knowledge Pit http://www.fedcsis.org/dmgate AAIA'18 Data Mining Challenge is the fifth data mining competition organized within the framework of International Symposium Advances in Artificial Intelligence and Applications (AAIA). AAIA'18 is held as part of the FedCSIS 2018 - an annual international multi-conference, this year organized jointly by the Polish Information Processing Society (PTI), Poland Section Computer Society Chapter, Systems Research Institute Polish Academy of Sciences, Wroclaw University of Economics, Warsaw University of Technology and Adam Mickiewicz University, in technical cooperation with: IEEE Region 8, IEEE Poland Section, IEEE Computer Society Technical Committee on Intelligent Informatics, IEEE Czechoslovakia Section Computer Society Chapter, IEEE Poland Section (Gdansk) Computer Society Chapter, IEEE SMC Technical Committee on Computational Collective Intelligence, IEEE Poland Section SMC Society Chapter, IEEE Poland Section Control System Society Chapter, IEEE Poland Section Computational Intelligence Society Chapter, ACM Special Interest Group on Applied Computing, International Federation for Information Processing, Committee of Computer Science of Polish Academy of Sciences, Polish Operational and Systems Research Society, Eastern Cluster ICT Poland, Mazovia Cluster ICT. We are happy to announce that AAIA’18 Data Mining Challenge is finally online! This year's competition is a continuation of the topic from the previous year - data analytics related to video games. In particular, we focus on a popular collectible card video game Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft. The task is to assess win-rates of Hearthstone decks in games played between AI bots. The competition is kindly sponsored by Silver Bullet Labs, eSensei and Polish Information Processing Society (PTI).
