the ERC Consolidator Grant project "Gender, Party Politics and Democracy in Europe: A Study of European Parliament's Political Groups" (EUGenDem) is hiring a postdoctoral researcher (3 years) and a PhD student (4 years) to work with Johanna Kantola and Anna Elomäki at Gender Studies, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Tampere, Finland.

The five-year project provides a systematic analysis of the gendered policies and practices of European party politics. The research comprises a comparative study of the European Parliament’s (EP) party groups and generates empirical findings about the significance of gender in the current party political transformations in Europe.

The postdoctoral researcher will study the European Parliament’s political groups’ gendered practices in terms of their formal and informal  institutions.

The PhD candidate will study the European Parliament’s political groups' gender violence policies.
