Dear all,

I apologise for any cross-posting and for the prison librarian jobs coming along like buses - all at once.

Hull Libraries are now advertising for an 18.5 hour librarian, permanent.

The job entails responsibility for a team of three staff, budget responsibilities, stakeholder negotiations and organisation and delivery of enrichment activities. We are one of the few prisons in the country (if not the only one) that has opening hours over a weekend and the librarian does two Sundays in four, these hours are attached to unsocial hours pay. As a Cat B, we run the library with Officers on site. HMP Hull has just received 3 across the board during our Inspection (4 is the top grading). Do have a look at the ad if you're interested, or know anyone who might be:

https://www.hullcc.gov.uk/jobs/hcandl/libraries-prison-librarian/21403.job

A degree/masters in Information/Librarianship or equivalent is needed. The role is permanent. The closing date for applications is the 23rd April.

I am available to talk if anyone is interested on 01482 613409 or 01482 282323.

Thank you
Becky
