Research Fellow in Computational Design
Location: Caulfield campus
Employment Type: Part-time, fraction (0.8)
Duration: 3.5-year Fixed-term appointment
Remuneration: Pro-rata of AUD$66,706 - $90,532 pa Level A (plus 17% employer superannuation)

This position represents an exciting opportunity for a talented person to contribute to research as part of an Australian Research Council funded Future Fellowship in “Generative Materialism”. 

You will help develop innovative techniques that combine generative systems, advanced digital fabrication and the creative needs of modern design to meet the project’s aims of boosting human creativity by intelligently connecting the digital and physical processes of generative systems. The research you undertake will also assist the project’s aims to develop advanced creative methods and systems for the next generation of digital design and fabrication technologies applied to applications in art, design and architecture.

As the successful candidate, you will be a goal-oriented individual with a PhD in Computational Design, Computational Creativity or a related qualification. Your ability to work independently (or with limited supervision) will also be highly regarded, as will your strong written and verbal communications skills and an active creative practice.
