For anyone in and around Paris, the following event may be of interest: Seminar: Johanna Schipper on her Graphic Novels University of London Institute in Paris - Centre for the Study of Contemporary Women's Writing Thursday 22 March 2018, 6PM, University of London Institute in Paris, 9-11 rue de Constantine, 75007 Paris For the second seminar in the 'Sketching/Scripting Women' series, the Centre for the Study of Contemporary Women's Writing<https://modernlanguages.sas.ac.uk/research-centres/centre-study-contemporary-womens-writing> and University of London Institute in Paris are pleased to welcome artist Johanna Schipper<http://www.johannaschipper.com/>. A graphic novel artist and translator, Schipper (winner of the first 'Artemisia Prize for Women's Francophone Graphic Novels' for her work Nos âmes sauvages (2008)), will speak about her career as a graphic novel creator and the changing status of women's artistic production within the medium. Please note that the guest speaker will be presenting in French and the Q&A will be both in English and French.
