Dear Colleagues LimitState Ltd (Sheffield, UK) is looking to recruit an EU funded 18 month Early Stage Researcher position. The project involves extending existing numerical analysis tools to incorporate novel automatic design methods for geotechnical structures (e.g. embankments, cuttings, retaining walls) including the assessment of cost/energy/carbon usage and of the effects of soil suction and vegetation. There is the potential to register in parallel for an MPhil/PhD in the Department of Civil and Structural Engineering at the University of Sheffield.
