Hi everyone,

The RBSA and Sense worked together on a pilot visual arts project to
deliver 4 art workshops by 4 different RBSA artists to 5 Sense participants
and their support workers.

Sense provided induction training to RBSA staff members and artists to help
RBSA learn how to make practical art activities more accessible to
individuals with MSI. The artists then planned and delivered their
individual workshops, which included: clay sculpture, printmaking,
construction sculpture, and mixed-media textiles weaving. Each workshop
provided detailed information on how sessions could be developed further.

On 8 March: RBSA artists and Sense staff will share their findings from the
collaborative project with individuals who have complex communication needs
(e.g. deaf blindness). There will be time to have refreshments, network,
listen to talks, and discuss the points made at the new Touchbase Pears
Centre. Details and how to book are here:

I'll be there myself and happy to connect with people about the Disability
Co-operative Network and inclusive practice in museums as service providers
and a workforce.

With Best Wishes
