Job opportunities at the Refugee Studies Centre, Oxford Department of International Development, University of Oxford: Research Officers (2 posts), ‘Refugees are Migrants: Refugee Mobility, Recognition and Rights’ project We are seeking two experienced post-doctoral researchers to form the core team for the ERC-funded REF-MIG project, led by the Principal Investigator (PI), Dr Cathryn Costello, based at the Oxford Department of International Development, Queen Elizabeth House, Oxford. The posts are both fixed term for three years and are to commence as soon as possible. The researchers will work collaboratively with the PI and other members of the research group to accomplish the aims of the REF-MIG project. This will include undertaking desk-based and field-based research into the global refugee regime, in particular doctrinal legal research, empirical legal research (both qualitative and quantitative) and archival research (as appropriate), in order to accomplish the various project goals. As well as the preparation of research publications and presenting papers at appropriate scholarly conferences, stakeholder gatherings and other meetings. The researchers should have strong expertise in international law, as well as excellent empirical research skills, including fieldwork experience. They should also be comfortable undertaking and developing empirical research strands of the REF-MIG project as well as undertaking collaborative doctrinal and empirical legal research and writing. A knowledge of international and regional refugee law and practice would be an advantage.
