Plymouth Marjon University* is seeking to appoint an External Examiner for its BSc Nutrition for Health and Performance programme. This appointment will commence with immediate effect and will end on 30th September 2021. 

 

The BSc Nutrition for Health and Performance responds to public health concern and to national and international developments, linked with nutrition, as a driver for the maintenance and promotion of good health. It is a multi-disciplinary programme which seeks to establish a comprehensive understanding of the relationship between nutrition health, well-being and performance. Its core curriculum is aligned to QAA benchmark statements and the requirements of the Association for Nutrition, drawing on established academic sub-disciplines to underpin nutrition knowledge.

 

The External Examiner would be expected to visit the University annually and submit an annual report. A fee is payable in line with sector norms, along with reasonable expenses.

 

Recent External Examiner experience is desirable, although the University will provide a mentor for first-time External Examiners. In addition, all new External Examiners will be invited to an annual induction event in April 2018.
