Chief External Examiner for Early Childhood Education and Care (EYTS) |
In October 2017 the Teacher Education department successfully completed stage two of a full OFSTED inspection. The phase was graded as
outstanding. We are currently looking for a dedicated individual to undertake the role of Chief External Examiner for our Early Childhood Education and Care (EYTS) phase at Sheffield Hallam University.
Your role & responsibilities would include:

description You should have appropriate expertise and experience to be able to undertake a role in the assurance of academic standards in Higher Education. The appointee will be required to moderate a sample of scripts in relation to selected modules within the above phase. You will be required to attend the university for Assessment
Boards, a meeting with the course team, and to sample placement provision. The number of visits to Sheffield will usually be around three or four per year. You will also be required to produce an annual report. You will also be required to attend a one off, one day University External Examiners Induction session.
