We are seeking to appoint a Special Collections Librarian (Wellcome project) to: catalogue the University of Manchester medical collections according to recognised descriptive standards for printed collections and develop access to these collections through contributing to the Library's reader services, promotions, exhibitions, events and other strategies.



You will be a graduate with a professional qualification in librarianship or similar. In addition, you will be committed to the exploitation of Special Collections for research, teaching and learning, and public engagement; have excellent communication and team-working skills; have experience of library/archive or related management and resource discovery systems and familiarity with AACR2, RDA and MARC21 standards.



This post is based primarily in the Main Library, Oxford Road.



Duration : From 01 February to 31 July 2019

Salary : £31,604 to £38,833 per annum according to experience
