Dear all, - Do you deal with brownfield development sites in your work in the transport sector? The SUCCESS project team at Newcastle University (https://research.ncl.ac.uk/success/), in collaboration with UCL, are conducting a survey to explore how people from different sectors value the potential benefits provided by brownfield land and we are particularly interested in hearing from academics and practitioners in the transport sector. We would very much appreciate it if you could spare 5 minutes to help with this research by completing the survey, which can be accessed via this link: https://newcastle.onlinesurveys.ac.uk/success-ecosystem-services-survey ----------------------- Research background The SUCCESS project is investigating the capacity of previously developed vacant urban land (known as ‘urban brownfield’ land) to capture CO2 from the atmosphere and store it in the soil in mineral form as calcium carbonate. This carbon capture process is one of many potential benefits (or ‘ecosystem services’) that could be provided by urban brownfield sites and this survey is designed to help us understand how people from different sectors value these different benefits.
