Hi Chirag,

C3 will show neither the union or the intersection. Instead, it will show whether the average of the two is significant after their difference has been taken into account as nuisance.

All the best,

Anderson

FSL Experts,

In our event-related design, we had two stimulus types. Type one was modeled with EV1 and type two was modeled with EV2. My contrast setup was as following,

C1: [1 0]
C2: [0 1]
C3: [1 1]

And I am sure there are several ways of setting up the contrast. My main question is, what regions will show activation for C3?

Will it give OR (union) of regions that show activation to either or both of the EVs?

OR

Will it give AND (intersection) of regions that show activation to both EVs?

Thank you
Chirag
