> Applications are invited for a full-time position for a postdoc physicist or engineer with an expertise in the field of cerebral MRI. The position is open at the Functional Brain Mapping Laboratory (Laboratoire de Cartographie fonctionnelle du Cerveau (LCFC)) of the ULB - Neuroscience Institute (Université libre de Bruxelles) in Brussels, Belgium.
>
> The successful candidate will be responsible of the research developments on the novel PET/MR system (Signa, GE Healthcare) installed in March 2017 at the LCFC and which is dedicated to research in neurosciences. To do so, she/he will benefit from a strong support of researchers with an expertise in PET research. She/he will therefore mainly have to take in charge the MR research developments and to provide support to the researchers who will use the PET/MR for uni- or multimodal neuroimaging research. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to integrate within this research framework some of her/his own research interests in MR or multimodal neuroimaging. She/he will indeed have access to a state-of-the-art human functional neuroimaging platform composed of MEG (Triux MEG system), high-density EEG (hdEEG, Geodesic), EEG-fMRI (BrainAmp MR+, Brain Product) and PET/MRI (Signa, GE Healthcare) systems for multimodal neuroimaging research projects.
>
> The candidate must be highly motivated and be able to work in a multidisciplinary environment. She/he must have a PhD in neurosciences, biomedical sciences, engineering, physics or related fields. She/he should have a strong expertise in MR research and preferably in fMRI data acquisition and analyses (DTI is a plus). The candidate should be fluent in English (French is a plus).
>
> The position will first be opened for three years with an extension to a permanent position if both parties are willing to pursue after the first three years. Salary will be commensurate with experience and within the salary scales of the Université libre de Bruxelles.
>
> The position is opened at the LCFC, which is located in the walls of the ULB-Hôpital Erasme; the academic hospital of the Université libre de Bruxelles. The hospital is located at the border of Brussels with easy metro access. Brussels is a vibrant human-size and multicultural city offering a high quality of life.
>
> Position is opened from July 2017. Depending on the successful candidate availability, the starting date can be negotiated but should preferably be the latest in September 2017. Applications will be considered until the position is filled.
