Hi everyone, Can anyone recommend a recognised standard or tested current model for attaching a value to a library collection for insurance purposes? The context is an art and design library with holdings of c.100,000 books, back and continuing runs of 1000+ print journals and approx. 100 special collections and archives. I'd welcome the chance to speak with anyone with recent experience of preparing such a valuation. On- and off-list replies welcome.
